project context

refurbishment of the grade ii listed faculty building originally designed by casson conder. the work included window and rooflight replacement, heating upgrades and making good within the existing accommodation.

my contribution

  • led the architectural team's survey of existing conditions and developed a system for recording and coding the work.
  • coordinated tender documentation and developed details in response to conditions encountered during construction.
  • liaised with the client, consultants, contractor and suppliers; prepared draft architectural instructions for authorisation by the contract administrator, kj tait.
